The Arojiji Ijeshaland Kingdom is a traditional monarchy deeply rooted in Yoruba heritage. The kingdom is led by the Alarojiji, His Royal Majesty Oba Gabriel Babajide Ajanaku (Agbele I), who serves as the supreme authority and guardian of cultural values. Assisting the monarch is a Council of Chiefs and Advisors, collectively known as the Oba in Council of Chiefs, who offer strategic guidance and support on governance matters.
This council plays a critical role in policy development, dispute resolution, and the preservation of customs and traditions. Administrative affairs are conducted through a structured system that guarantees effective communication and proper implementation of royal directives across various communities within the kingdom.

The King in Council aims to elevate living standards through sustainable development and effective project management. Key objectives include enhancing food and agricultural security, alleviating poverty via rural development, and strengthening education, healthcare, and youth empowerment initiatives. Emphasis is placed on fostering small-scale industries, advancing indigenous technology, and establishing sound financial systems through banking services, cooperative societies, and strategic resource management. Research and consultancy services further support training, mentorship, and agro-allied development.
Oba Ajanaku Babajide Gabriel (Agbeledolu-1) envisions transforming Arojiji into a cosmopolitan hub where local and international trade, arts, and cultural heritage thrive. The mission focuses on promoting and defending the Kingdom’s rich cultural legacy, traditional festivals, and indigenous values while nurturing future leadership and boosting economic opportunities.
